Planning flooring without proper calculation is one of the fastest ways to waste money in construction. Whether you’re building a 5 Marla house, 10 Marla home, or a commercial space, accurate tile and marble estimation is critical. This advancedTiles and Marble Calculator helps you calculate:

- Exact number of tiles or marble pieces
- Material cost
- Labor cost
- Wastage adjustment
This guide goes beyond a basic calculator, it teaches you how professionals estimate flooring.
Why Most People in Gulf Miscalculate Tiles & Marble
Most homeowners and even small contractors make these costly mistakes:
- Overbuying tiles (5–15% budget waste)
- Underestimating material → work stops mid-project
- Ignoring cutting/wastage
- No labor cost planning
- Wrong tile size calculations (inches vs feet confusion)
Result: Budget overruns + delays
Tiles and Marble Calculator
Step 1: Measure Room Area
First, measure your room:
- Length (in feet or meters)
- Width (in feet or meters)
Then multiply both:
Area = Length × Width
👉 Example (feet): Room = 10 ft × 12 ft Area = 120 sq ft
👉 Example (meters): Room = 3 m × 4 m Area = 12 sq meters
Step 2: Convert Tile Size
In Gulf countries, tiles are usually in millimeters (mm), so you need to convert them into meters.
Tile Area = (Length ÷ 1000) × (Width ÷ 1000)
👉 Example: Tile size = 600 mm × 600 mm 600 ÷ 1000 = 0.6 m
Tile area = 0.6 × 0.6 = 0.36 sq meters
Step 3: Calculate Number of Tiles
Now divide room area by tile area and add some extra for wastage:
Tiles Required = (Room Area ÷ Tile Area) + Wastage
👉 Example: Room area = 12 sq meters Tile area = 0.36 sq meters
12 ÷ 0.36 = 33.3 → round up = 34 tiles
Add 5% extra: Total ≈ 36 tiles
Step 4: Calculate Total Cost
Total Cost = Material Cost + Labor Cost
👉 Example: Tile price = 8 AED per tile Tiles = 36
Material cost = 36 × 8 = 288 AED
Labor cost (average): 10 AED per sq meter
12 × 10 = 120 AED
👉 Total cost = 408 AED
